Lending Bill to Help Small Business Blocked in Congress

Republicans blocked a lending bill that would create $30 billion in funds for community banks to increase lending to small businesses. Senate leaders say they will continue to try to make amendments to the bill. However, it will be difficult to pass before many go on summer vacation.
